NIA carries out raids at premises linked to Dawood’s associates

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday morning carried out a series of raids at premises linked to several of gangster Dawood Ibrahim’s associates and a few hawala operators.

“Raids are being done in Nagpada, Goregaon, Borivali, Santacruz, Mumbra, Bhendi Bazar, and other places,” the NIA announced. Dawood’s associate Salim Fruit was detained amid the raids, and some important documents were retrieved from his residence, ANI reported. As per news report of The Indian Express, The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday morning detained gangster Chhota Shakeel's aide Salim Qureshi aka Salim Fruit in Mumbai after conducting raids at over 20 places here and in adjoining Thane district against associates of fugitive underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, an official said.
