An FIR carrying charges of murder has been filed (against an unknown person or persons) and inquiries have started, Sandeep Khirwar, IGP (Rohtak Range) told news agency PTI. According to police the man is 35 (or 36)-year-old Lakhbir Singh from Punjab's Tam Taran district. Lakhbir - who was adopted after his birth parents died - is a labourer and is survived by a sister, a wife and three daughters, the eldest of whom is just 12 years old. Nihangs - a 'warrior' Sikh group - are being blamed for the brutal murder.
